Editor's Message

The Kuwait Medical Journal (KMJ), initially known as the Journal of the Kuwait Medical Association has successfully completed 38 years of publication since its inception in 1967,  serving the medical professionals all over the globe, and primarily those in the Gulf area, as a valuable scientific publication under the eminent leadership of various Editorsin- Chief. Now, it has been passed on to Dr. Fuad Abdulla M Hasan to hold its torch as Editor-in-Chief and myself as Editor.

After a period of extremely productive and successful management, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bader, the Editor-in-Chief and Prof. Hussein  Dashti, the Editor have left this journal in August  2005 giving way to a new editorial management. Beginning with this issue, it is my honor and privilege to become the Editor of this prestigious Journal and to thank Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bader and Professor Hussein Dashti along with all other members of the Editorial Board for their invaluable contributions and a job well done. We celebrate their accomplishments over the years and wish them all the best.

KMJ has seen leaping improvement in its style, set-up and diversity in contents through the past years and it will be the collective endeavor of the present Editorial Board to add more colors to its wings. While following the foot steps of our predecessors, we are glad to accomplish the laid out targets of KMJ to make it further informative, interesting and valuable to all our readers through the editions to come.  While thanking all our partners in its growth, we gladly solicit your valuable contributions and continued support to further take this journal to new heights with a wider coverage and information.

Thank you.

Dr. Adel Khader Ayed
